Special Asparagus Fairs To See The End Of April

The end of April sees the special asparagus fairs in the region. 23rd and 24th April is the date of the fair in Etauliers and the following weekend is the one in Blayais. Both fairs run on similar lines, lots of the special white asparagus for sale, growers giving talks and chefs producing delectable food, especially the giant omelette which is sold in small slices to give everyone a chance to taste this wonderful delicacy. There is music, dancing, pony rides, face painting and various other activities to make the weekends go with a swing.
